The end as come for Ghanaian music group V.I.P after one of its
members, Emmanuel “Promzy” Ababio left the group.
The group, also made up of Joseph Nana Ofori (Prodigal), and Abdul
Hamid Ibrahim (Lazzy now Zeal), went commercial in 1998 and over
the years has been one of, if not, Ghana’s best music groups.
Manager of VIP, Bull Dog confirmed that Promzy has left the
group. According to him, “Promzy exited the group based on personal
reasons and as a group, VIP has a calling to its fan-base and VIP is
bigger than one member of the group.” VIP, Bull Dog noted, “have
come very far and they will not in any way disappoint [their fans].”
He was confident that, “VIP is here to stay and they are making sure
they will never disappoint Ghana and Africa”
